The Women in Business group, supported by the Chamber of Commerce Serving Duchesne County, is a community of driven, supportive, and inspiring women from Duchesne County and the surrounding areas. Our mission is to empower women to connect, learn, and grow—both personally and professionally.

We provide opportunities for networking, professional development, and collaboration through monthly meetings, guest speakers, and community events.

The Women's Business Center of Utah was born - a public-private partnership between the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Salt Lake Chamber.     Today, WBCUtah boasts the largest and most passionate team of experts dedicated to providing customized advising, education, and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs in every county of the state.   • Women in Leadership I Certificate


    This certificate program is designed for women seeking to strengthen their leadership skills and for business leaders committed to supporting women in leadership roles. With a focus on communication and leadership development, participants gain the confidence, credibility, and practical tools needed to grow their careers and better support those they lead and mentor.


    Through seven cohort-based classes led by faculty from the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business, participants will explore current research, engage in interactive discussions, and learn innovative, research-backed strategies they can immediately apply. The program also offers valuable networking opportunities with fellow professionals and community leaders.


    Applicants must complete an application to be considered for the program.

     Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is a program for small businesses that links learning to action. Through the program, participants will gain practical skills in topics such as negotiation, marketing, and employee management that can immediately be put into action. In addition, they will receive the tools and professional support to develop a strategic and customized growth plan that will take their business to the next level. 

  • Women's Leadership Institute - Rising Leader Series

    Join the Rising Leader Series, a 6-month cohort for women discovering their strengths, building confidence, and learning to lead! 


    This program is great for individual contributos with leadership aspiration in large companies or new leaders (in the last 6 months) in smaller companies. 


    Monthly sessions are taught by hand-selected WLI alumnae presenters or community leaders and are supplemented by an online learning portal!

  • Friends Against Family Violence


    Friends Against Family Violence (FAFV) is a community based nonprofit domestic and sexual violence program. FAFV provides advocacy, shelter, rehousing, crisis intervention, education, and prevention in the Tri-County of Uintah, Duchesne, and Daggett. We provide services for women, men, and all gender identities, as well as dependents. All of our services are 100% free and 100% confidential.
